Nghia Tran, Wanted in Vietnam

By utilizing the intimate professor-student relations in IDeA Labs, Nghia Tran was able to receive an ORCA Mentoring Grant to help fund his on-going research in data mining and market power.

As an undergraduate, Nghia was recruited to IDeA Labs in 2004. The intimate professor-student working relationship provided by the research laboratories, fosters an ideal setting for mentoring opportunities. Utilizing such resources, Nghia has been able to receive funding for his research in data mining in analysis of market power. He was awarded an ORCA Mentoring Grant in 2004, and continues to pursue further research as a graduate student at BYU.
